  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form; set aside.
  5. Cream remaining butter and granulated sugar until fluffy; add egg yolks one at a time, then mix in vanilla and milk.
  6. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture, followed by the beaten egg whites until no streaks remain.
  7. Pour batter over blueberries and bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
