  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small sweet onion (diced)
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 (15oz can) marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese (freshly grated)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and brown for about 3–5 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion for about 2 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in flour until lightly browned; gradually add beef stock, then stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 6–8 minutes.
  5. Combine cooked pasta and browned beef into the skillet, stirring in heavy cream until heated through.
  6. Mix in sour cream followed by cheddar cheese until melted. Serve immediately.
