  • 4 honey crisp apples (peeled, cored, thinly sliced)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk (warmed)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Thinly slice the apples using a mandoline slicer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until thickened and pale. Stir in warmed milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Add flour, salt, baking powder, and optional cinnamon; mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the apple slices until evenly coated and layer them in the prepared pan.
  6. Pour any remaining batter over the apple layers and optionally top with sliced almonds.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until golden brown; let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
