Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 11×7 baking pan with parchment paper or cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream softened butter with sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. Fold in the chopped apples until evenly mixed. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
  5. For the glaze, melt butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Bring to a boil while stirring; remove from heat to cool slightly before drizzling over cooled blondies.
