  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 cups salted butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 and 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, flour, brown sugar, and spices in a bowl; set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter with flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Layer the apple filling evenly over this base and sprinkle remaining crumble on top.
  5. Bake for 38-45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender. Let cool before slicing.
  6. Drizzle with salted caramel sauce before serving.
