Ingredients

Scale

4 thin chicken breast fillets

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Dredge chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook chicken fillets for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.

Add chicken broth and lemon juice to the same skillet, scraping up browned bits from the pan.

Cook until slightly reduced, about 2 minutes.

Stir in the remaining butter until melted.

Pour the sauce over the chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian sauce.

Use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour for a healthier option.
