Indulge in a delightful fusion of flavors with this Gochujang Pasta, ready in just 15 minutes! This quick and creamy dish combines the spicy, savory notes of Korean gochujang with comforting pasta, making it an irresistible option for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces rigatoni (or any pasta of your choice)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 stalk green onion (sliced; plus more for garnish)
  • Grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al-dente (10-12 minutes). Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a nonstick pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in gochujang paste and cook briefly before adding heavy cream to simmer.
  4. Mix reserved pasta water and sugar into the sauce, then add drained pasta. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Turn off heat, stir in remaining butter and green onions, then serve garnished with extra green onions and parmesan.
